Let us help you turn your dreams & ideas into reality!

Before your appointment

1. CREATE A WISHLIST

Today, it is common to peruse sites and social platforms such as Pinterest and Instagram for interior design inspiration. Although there is so much material to sort through, this can be a good thing as it helps you to hone in on your style as well as create a list of must haves in your new home project. Sharing your decor style and wish list as well as what isn’t working in your current set-up will help your designer create a workable plan just for you.

2. SET A DESIGN BUDGET

You need to establish how much you can realistically spend on the project before you start. How far you can go with your wish list will then depend on your budget. Besides the obvious materials such as cabinetry and counters, the designer will include in your proposal allowances for plumbing, wiring, lighting, appliances, flooring, labor, and finishing design touches.

3. CONSIDER HOW YOU WILL USE YOUR SPACE

Designing a space isn't just about working out a layout that fits the space, but also includes plans that are designed around how you use the room. Think carefully about how you wish to use the space. For example, today’s kitchens are the central hub of the house, so we approach the design by thinking of the layout in terms of moments - with places to cook, to eat, to entertain, and sometimes a spot to sit and work.

4. MEASURE UP

Bring rough measurements of your space when you come for the initial design meeting. The links below will show how and what to measure. Also, don’t worry if your measurements are not perfect; when you decide to order product, one of our team members will come out and double check all measurements before anything is ordered. If you are not comfortable measuring, we do offer an in-home measure and consultation service for a small fee.  This fee will be credited on your invoice if you proceed with making a purchase with us.
